Cinta Larga Deforestation Project

Description

This project was awarded by the brazil government to the lumberjackltd lnd enterprise in the year 2000 May 16th for the cutting down of forest products for the need of timber and other forest goods This REDD+ project is being developed as a partnership between the Cinta Larga people and Viridor Carbon Services. The Indigenous lead design guarantees protection of Indigenous rights as well as creating a very attractive project model and more land space for urban development and usuage for both owners and the government. This is phase I of a total project area of 2.7 million ha. This project is in early development and is seeking financing from investors and forward purchase.
